Verification of Competancy

Section 19 of the Work Health & Safe Act 2011 identifies that the person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of workers. This includes the provision of the necessary information, training, instruction or supervision to protect workers.

To assist in complying with the Legislation, one approach is to ensure the competence of their operators prior to any tasks being undertaken. This process is known as a verification of competency (VOC).

Verification of Competency (VOC) is a method of assessment that can be used to demonstrate the worker’s ability to operate equipment and/or undertake the responsibilities of these roles.

Rock Solid Training offers a VOC service that can be conducted on your site, reducing downtime, and providing maximum relevance to equipment being used.

We offer a wide range of VOC services covering the following key areas of risk related disciplines:

  • Forklift
  • Scissor Lift
  • Boom Lift
  • Telehandler
  • Personnel and Material Hoist
